As a follow-up to the recent second meeting of the EU-China Trade and Investment Consultations (TIC), the Commission and business delegations will attend a matchmaking event organised in the framework of the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE).
The initiative aims to facilitate direct contacts between European medical device manufacturers and Chinese buyers, helping to create concrete commercial opportunities for EU companies active in the sector.
It will provide European companies with an opportunity to present their products and engage in bilateral meetings with prospective purchasers. The event will also include a government-to-business session aimed at explaining relevant policies for foreign medical device suppliers in China and engaging in exchanges with companies.
The event is being organised as part of efforts announced in the TIC to increase imports of EU-made medical devices in China. It reflects the Commission’s continued efforts to support European businesses in international markets and to ensure that trade and investment dialogues deliver tangible opportunities for EU companies on the ground.
