The EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change has launched 18 projects totalling €115 million, including flagship initiatives REGILIENCE+ and the National Adaptation Hubs, to scale up climate resilience solutions across 85+ regions and reinforce national-level adaptation governance.
The EU has paid a €100 million advance to Spain to help finance its recovery efforts following the October 2024 storm in Valencia in which hundreds of lives were lost and buildings destroyed. The funding can be used to restore energy, water, health, education, or telecommunications systems.
