In September 2026, compared with August 2026, industrial producer prices increased by 2.5% in the euro area and by 2.6% in the EU, according to first estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In August 2026, industrial producer prices grew by 2.0% in the euro area and by 1.9% in the EU.
In September 2026, compared with September 2025, industrial producer prices increased by 11.1% in the euro area and by 10.9% in the EU.

The highest monthly increases in industrial producer prices were recorded in Bulgaria (+4.6%), Lithuania (+4.2%), Greece and Spain (both +3.9%), while in Luxembourg and Malta the monthly industrial producer prices remained stable (both 0.0%).

The highest annual increases in industrial producer prices were recorded in Bulgaria (+22.9%), Ireland (+19.9%) and Lithuania (+19.0%), while the only decrease was observed in Luxembourg (-8.1%).

Revisions and timetable
Compared with data issued in the News Release of 5 October 2026, the monthly percentage increases for August 2026 have been revised from +1.9% to +2.0% in the euro area and remained unchanged at +1.9% in the EU. The annual percentage increases have been revised from +8.2% to +8.3% in the euro area and remained unchanged at +8.0% in the EU.
Methods and definitions
The index of producer prices shows (in the national currency of the country concerned) changes in the ex-works sale prices of all products sold on the domestic market, excluding imports. Euro area and EU indices refer to overall weighted price changes. The figures are not calendar day or seasonally adjusted.
Total industry covers NACE rev.2 sections B to D + E36.
