A new child-friendly publication, “Breaking the cycle of child poverty – Strengthening the European Child Guarantee”, explains how the EU is working towards every child having a fair chance in life.
The publication introduces the European Child Guarantee: a plan that helps EU countries support children who need it most. It also shows how the plan has been strengthened to make sure more children can access key services, such as
- education
- healthcare
- healthy food
- a safe place to live
The publication is for children and young people who want to learn
- about this plan
- how it has recently been improved
- how it helps combat poverty
Importantly, children and young people helped shape the plan: more than 41 000 children shared their views through the EU Children’s Participation Platform.
