Commission acts against unfairly traded imports of steel track shoes from China

Today the Commission imposed anti-dumping measures on imports into the EU of steel track shoes originating in the People’s Republic of China.

The definitive anti-dumping duty imposed is 62.5%. Provisional duties have been collected since 22 April this year, after an investigation showed that imports from China of this product were being made at dumped prices and causing injury to the EU’s industry.

Steel track shoes are used as components of tracked equipment that is used in the construction and mining sectors, such as bulldozers or excavators.

The EU’s industry for this product, primarily located in Italy, is worth some €30 million and collectively employs 190 people.
