Following the EU-Japan Summit in Tokyo, the European Union and Japan have announced the launch of a competitive alliance to boost cooperation on trade, economic security, and innovation and the twin transitions.
At the EU-Canada Summit in Brussels the two parties have concluded a Security and Defence Partnership and launched cooperation initiatives in industrial policy and digital trade. With the new agreements, the EU and Canada entered a new phase in their already close strategic partnership.
