We’re thrilled to share the results of the BlueTech Competition 2025!

We received over 20 submissions from 9 countries – Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Romania, Croatia, Poland, Sweden, and Tunisia – showcasing incredible innovation and creativity from students across Europe and beyond.

The jury had a truly challenging task. Every project was unique, engaging, and inspiring. In fact, the evaluation panel was so impressed, they shared this special message with all participants:

“We were truly delighted to see participants from so many different countries and such a wide range of ages. In the first phase of the evaluation process, the goal was to get a qualitative sense of each team’s work. We watched all the videos, read all the documents, and took general notes. More than once, we thought: “Wow, this team is really good — they could be the winners!

In the second phase, we had to dive into the details and focus on the evaluation criteria, as required for a fair and objective assessment. This process ultimately resulted in a ranking, and the top 3 have now been announced.

However, if your project isn’t among the top 3, that doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t good. You might be one of the teams noted as “potential winners” — but perhaps something was missing in relation to the specific criteria.

So, our advice is this: if you believe your work matters, keep going. Participate in more competitions, share your ideas with others, keep refining your project, and always consider the criteria along the way. If you do that, we’re confident your efforts will be recognized in the future.

Bottom line: keep up the great work!

After a careful and thorough review, we’re proud to announce the top three winning projects:

1st Place

“Banana Residuals: For a More Sustainable Future”

ESCOLA B+S CRECHE COM PRÉ ESCOLAR BISPO D. MANUEL FERREIRA CABRAL, Portugal (Madeira, Santana)

2nd Place

“BLU3 LAB: Algae – The Good, the Bad, and the Tasty”

IIS CAPELLINI-SAURO, Italy (La Spezia)

 3rd Place

🎉 Congratulations to all participating schools for their outstanding work and dedication to building a more sustainable future through BlueTech! Stay inspired—and keep innovating.
