The 36th edition of the European Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS) will take place in the capital of Latvia, Riga, from 15 to 20 September 2025 and will gather around 140 young scientists from all over Europe and beyond.

The winners of the 2025 European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award are from the Netherlands, Finland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Poland. Utrecht (Netherlands), Mariehamn (Finland), and Braga (Portugal) won Gold Awards for fostering diversity and inclusion.
Those interested in submitting their works can do so until 31 May.
Agnès Arbat from Spain has won the 2025 EU prize for woman innovators. She is the co-founder of a company that develops innovative drugs to enhance fertility. Camille Bouget (France) took the Rising Innovator award and Débora Andreia Campelo Campos (Portugal), the EIT Women Leadership prize.
